IV Therapy for Pregnant Women
Did you know?… IV drip therapy is amazing for pregnant women!
During pregnancy it is just as important (if not more) to stay well hydrated. We get it, staying hydrated can be hard for everyone, so it is that much more difficult when pregnant. Also, the nausea and vomiting in early months of pregnancy make it even more difficult to stay hydrated.
Proper hydration supports proper growth and development for baby!
It can:
help with amniotic fluid production
rid excess waste
produce extra blood
carry extra nutrients
enhance digestion
Dehydration in pregnancy can result in low amniotic fluid (which can increase the chance of preterm labor) and also result in low production of breast milk postpartum.
Not sure if you are dehydrated? Here are some common symptoms:
dry, sticky mouth.
sleepiness.
feeling thirsty.
decreased need to urinate.
headache.
constipation.
dizziness.
dark-colored urine
We recommend booking an IV during pregnancy to stay hydrated and feeling your best! Plus we can give you Zofran and Riboflavin (B6) to help get you through that awful nausea.
